Paddle Out & Brunch at Elks Lodge 616

  • Wounded Warrior Ohana PO Box 8071 Honolulu 96830 United States (map)

More than 40 wounded warriors and family members enjoyed a beautiful sunny day at the Elks Lodge 616 on Sunday, November 21. The inaugural event included outrigger canoe rides provided by Kumulokahi Elks Canoe Club, lunch hosted by the lodge, door prizes and live music by the bc band. Most of the attendees had never been on a canoe before so it was truly an exciting experience for all. One of our attendees, MAJ McMillon, brought his own paddle impressing the canoe club and the rest of the warriors!

Following a morning of paddling, the attendees enjoyed delicious burger sliders, hot dogs, chili and salad courtesy of the Elks Lodge.

Mahalo to Elks Lodge 616 for hosting, Kumulokahi canoe club and the bc band for providing a magical day for our wounded warriors and their families.

Mahalo also to The Cookie Corner for its generous donation of delicious cookies, and Marge Awana for donating two beautiful afghans for our door prizes.
